A former Plantation House, thought to date from 1845, The White Fence, a Shenandoah Valley bed and breakfast, is on the edge of the Blue Ridge in Stanley, Virginia. Our Virginia bed and breakfast is located 90 minutes from Dulles Airport, 30 minutes from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive and 10 minutes from the picturesque small town of Luray and the famous Luray Caverns. Guests come to the popular and picturesque Shenandoah Valley for wonderful hiking in Shenandoah National Park, scenic Skyline Drive, horseback riding, canoeing on the Shenandoah River, wineries, antiquing, civil war sites/museums and more.

A complete remodel of the property took place in March 2001 and a recent redecorating project has been completed on the cottage, carriage house and the suite in the house with new paint and other special touches. Our accommodations are especially spacious and well appointed and are perfect for a special occasion or just a visit to the area.
